Discord Server Rules

IMPORTANT

• Please make sure that you are familiar with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• REGARDING COMPROMISED ACCOUNTS: Any account compromised that is sending malicious links or messages will be banned at the soonest opportunity for the safety of our community.
• These rules are subject to change at any time. Please check back regularly for updates.

Behavior

• Minimal swearing/adult language to maintain a friendly environment.
• No bullying, racism, homophobia/transphobia, verbal abuse, threats, or trolling.
• Respectful communication is required. Don't spam or mass mention Moderators or Owner (@Will K.).

Content

• Avoid controversial topics like politics, religion, or NSFW content.
• Keep memes and GIFs to designated channels. No explicit or inappropriate media allowed.
• Images and videos for coding help are allowed in programming channels.
• Do not share personal information, or share/request illegal content.
• Any links and attached files must be in good faith, and be relevant to the topic.
• Self-advertising is strictly prohibited, except in the designated channel.

Moderation

• Moderator status is application-based. Don't ask for it directly. (To apply, fill out this Google Form.)
• Moderators reserve the right delete any post or file and issue warnings within reason.
• Appeals for warnings can be made within reason. Contact a Moderator or Owner (@Will K.).
• Automod is active and will enforce rules in the absence of Moderators.

Communication

• Don't ghost ping or excessively ping members.
• Make sure that the topic of conversation is deemed appropriate for other members.
• For responses to any messages (or appeals), ping any Moderator or Owner (@Will K.) once and wait patiently for a reply.

Consequences

• Rule violations result in warnings. 3 strikes lead to a permanent ban.
• Appeals can be made to a Moderator or Owner (@Will K.).
